The Golf Club Secretary PERMANENT FILE
The Permanent File made its first appearance in 1995 it has been continuously expanded since that time but never updated. During the last 11 years, much of the legislation affecting employees, licensing, tax and discrimination has been revised and in consequence the WHOLE File has been updated to bring it into line with current legislation.

Some of the sections have been completely rewritten:
Competition Entry Fees and Prizes Gratuities, Income Tax and NIC Disciplinary, Grievance and Sickness Procedures Discipline Guidelines, Glossary of Associations.

Other sections have had significant additional clauses added to the original text to embrace the latest legislation: Sample contracts (1) Secretary Manager (1A) General Manager (2) Course Manager/Head Greenkeeper (3) Head Steward and Wife (3A) Head Steward (3B) Steward as Franchised Caterer (4) Other Staff.

All the remaining sections have all been subjected to minor amendments too.

We are now confident that the UPDATED Permanent File continues to be an essential addition to The Golf Club Secretary reference library.
